The first weekend of each month.

  Compassion Saturday
Central Community Church believes in the value of being actively engaged in our community. Through this effort we provide many ways to help our church family get involved by reaching outside the church walls and into the community where we live. Many opportunities abound right here with our own church facility and among our church family as well. There are opportunities for EVERYONE including projects such as painting, repair and improvement, lawn care, food and meal preparation, and much more! Join us on the first Saturday of every month from 8:00-8:30 AM in Room 118 (K-Chapel) for breakfast together. We'll divide into teams to go into the community to serve from 8:30 AM-Noon.
    Compassion Sunday
    Food Donation Sunday
The FIRST Sunday of every month is FOOD DONATION SUNDAY. Items being donated to the food pantry may be placed in the blue Touching Wichita shopping carts located in the Atrium and Grand Foyer entrances each Sunday.
  Pizza in the Park
On the first Sunday of each month, volunteers bake pizzas and deliver them to the homeless who gather in the park across from the Downtown Library at 4:00 PM. Join us by meeting in the Church Kitchen to bake pizzas at 2:30 PM and then load on the Church vans to serve pizza in the park as we share the love of Christ in a tangible way to those who are homeless in our city.

  Hearts and Hands Food Pantry
The Hearts and Hands Food Pantry offers weekly food assistance to those in need here in our community. It serves hundreds of people each month who come to our church in need of basic items such as food, personal hygiene products, diapers and formula, and other necessary household items. The food pantry is run by our own faithful volunteers and is stocked by the generous donations of the members of Central Community Church.

  Hope for the Holidays
One of our favorite ways of bringing the true message of hope to those in need during the holiday season is our annual Hope for the Holidays event. Each year our church family is given the opportunity to reach out and bless others during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Several hundred holiday food sacks that have been filled with all the makings for a holiday dinner are distributed each year by our own families here at Central. Our Angel Tree of Hope helps provide Christmas gifts to a selected charitable organization each year thus allowing each family or individual to bless someone else at Christmas time.

Red Cross Blood Drive
Thursday, January 26
Thursday, March 29
Red Cross Blood Drives are held quarterly here at Central Community Church. Every two seconds blood is needed in America. With just one pint you can save three lives. Whose life will you save?
For an appointment or information on the next Blood Drive, contact Cheri Clark by email or by calling 316-943-1800.

Love Wichita
LOVE Wichita is a gathering of followers of Jesus from Wichita who are united in prayer, service, and outreach on behalf of our city. Once a year, volunteers from dozens of churches across Wichita gather together to show the love of Christ in a tangible way as we serve together across our city. Organized under the leadership of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, and through the cooperation and input of Wichita city leaders, police officers, fire department personnel, an dlocal mission agencies, hundreds of projects are submitted and chosen by individual churches for this annual service day. Lives are impacted, not only those who are served, but even those who are doing the serving. Check out the website, www.LoveWichita.org, for further information about the event. For more information about our involvement, contact the Church Office, or Cheri Clark, 943-1800.

Dodge Elementary Partnership
Central Community has partnered with Dodge Elementary to touch the lives of their students and teachers with Christ's love. Dodge is a Title 1 school which means the majority of their students are on free or reduced lunches and are coming from low income homes. Many of these students are being raised in a single-parent home or by a grandparent. Choose a child from our Angel Tree to give Christmas gifts to. Volunteer to help a child improve their reading skills. Donate kids' pants, mittens, hats, sweaters, and puzzles and games for recess on bad weather days. Donate cheese snack crackers, dried fruit, or trail mix for State Assessment Testing days.
We also help Kelly Elementary and Payne Elementary when needs arise as we are able.

Central Community Church is committed to COMMUNITY and provides opportunities to touch our community through financial support AND hands-on involvement with our locally supported mission's agencies. We believe that by being actively involved in our community, we are building community in our own Church family. We are currently partnering with the following missions agencies:
