Who We Are...

The IMPACT Players is a drama ministry of the Music and Worship Arts Department of Central Community Church.

• We believe that we have been called to use our vocal and dramatic talents to bring the Word to life.
• We believe that we have been called to change the world through the gifts that God has given us in the dramatic and vocal arts.
• We believe that God desires to communicate with a lost world through a medium that can be readily embraced by audiences.

What We Do...

In a world that focuses on mediocrity, we strive to glorify God though quality presentations of His Word.

• We spend hours in rehearsal and training time polishing and perfecting each role so that our performances are of the highest degree of excellence that we can provide.
• Our repertoire includes scripts that enhance the Sunday morning worship celebration, classroom studies, special support groups, men's and women's ministries.
• Our primary focus is on community outreach. We work with prison ministries, hospitals, nursing homes and local Christian organizations to reach the people who are "unreachable" with a Sunday morning sermon.

Why We Do It...

Paradigms of learning have changed dramatically in the last generation. No longer are we content to sit for hours listening to radio shows or spend leisurely afternoons with a book for entertainment.

With the advent of television and movies, not only are audiences trained to ingest information in short spans of time, but the information must be skillfully and colorfully executed to "grab their attention."

• Jesus created visual images with his parables. He used a storytelling technique to illustrate Biblical truths to people who couldn't read or write.
• Drama is one of the most effective tools for God to touch hearts and stir souls to action. It enables the viewer to privately examine his life in relation to the character or situation being presented.
• Drama is a spiritual act of worship. It is the best way to not only hear but also experience the Word.
