Want to be a YMT?
YMT stands for Youth Ministry Team. They are the youth workers in the trenches of the lives of students, working face-to-face with kids and caring for them on a personal level. You can choose to be a Full-Time or Part-Time.
The Commitment of a Full-Time YMT:
- No doubt a profession of faith
in Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Him
- You must be at least 21 years of age
- Regular attendance at Central Community Church for
at least 4 consecutive months (Regular attendance is at
least 3 weekends each month and at least 3 Wednesdays each
month)
- Ongoing regular attendance at Central Community Church
corporate worship services. YMTs are an example of faithfulness
and commitment and we will hold each other accountable
to that
- Regular attendance at Student Ministry programs for
at least 3 consecutive months (Same attendance expectation
as #1)
- Ongoing regular attendance at Student Ministry programs
- A completed YMT Application
- Complete the “Insights to Central” membership
class
- Complete the “Shape” spiritual gifts class
- Sit in on two consecutive YMT meetings
- Complete 2 Interviews with 2 current YMTs
- Complete an interview with the Student Ministry Pastor
Once they are recognized Full-Time YMTs, they commit to:
- Demonstrating a consistent, growing personal
faith and walk with Christ. This includes representing
Him well in word and deed, working toward a spirit of unity
and harmony. YMTs verbally support leadership and each
other keeping the end goal in mind: leading people to Christ
and to a deeper walk with Him.
- Demonstrating a consistent and faithful attendance
at Team meetings. YMTs are asked to be in attendance
at least 75% of the time.
- Demonstrating a faithful commitment to Central Community
Church and the Student Ministry by their faithful attendance
and generous stewardship of their time, talents, and
resources. Accepting the vision and mission of our church
they live out their commitment to the values taught in
the Insights to Central membership class.
- Being involved with our Students on Wednesday evenings
from 7:00 to 8:30PM, and on Sunday mornings from
9:30 to 10:45 AM. Your involvement in both greatly amplifies
your opportunity for impact.
- Working various fundraising events and accompanying
students on trips when available.
